Italy was crowned winner of the World Cup in 2006, Germany received the tournament host and played great football on the road to the semifinals. But it was the level of great football? I'm not sure the Italians were strongly emphasized in the defense but not a brilliant team, when they struggled to beat nine-man United States and were lucky to beat Australia with a final sanction.
When we look at some of the team World Cup 2006, one can see manynot hold.
ITALY-winners
Outstanding defense and Buffon the best goalkeeper in the world, as he did with his big Zidane in extra time to register. Nothing more attacking formation than normal, but no real success with Strikeforce Toni emulate the series A vote for the strike.
As with most good teams, they managed to grind and some results have been very difficult to beat. Many of their best players are now reaching their peak, interesting to see how the implementationEuro 2006.
FRANCE Runners-up

The South Americans played beautiful things in the early stages and had many outstanding players. However, they were eliminated by the host countryPenalties again as an early form is not in the latter stages of the tournament.
A proposed narrow victory against Mexico, they were not unbeatable and the Germans more than they voted in the quarterfinals blunt. In young emerging players like Messi there is no doubt that Argentina is again against the next World Cup.
